I remember when my wife and I first sat down for our consultation with Robby before taking our first class. I was thinking; what am I getting myself into? How long will we actually go to this thing? Am I wasting my time or is this going to work? Those questions were answered quickly. I immediately knew after our first Boot Camp class this was no ordinary exercise class or fad – in short – I thought I was going to die after my first class. It was tough! But at the same time it felt good to push myself, I felt for the first time in a long time I had really gotten a great workout.
Now eight months later, I am down 35 pounds, feeling great about how I look and in one of the best shapes of my life. I remember Robby telling us that if you are serious about losing weight and feeling great, Boot Camp becomes a way of life – you plan around it. He’s right. We do plan around it because we have seen results.
One of the things I like best about Boot Camp is what I like to call the “in and out” feeling of it. You go to class, it’s planned out for you, you do it, and you’re done. In 50 minutes I get a much better workout than I could ever put myself through with 2+ hours at the gym. Also the camaraderie amongst all the people going to Boot Camp; you support one another, see people getting results, and of course make jokes with people when they haven’t shown up for a few days – its motivation to keep going. And I have to mention that Robby is a great motivator. He guides, supports, and helps you every class and lets you know how you’re doing. He has been awesome!
In short, Boot Camp has been a life changer. My wife and I continue to go on a regular basis together, and it really does become part of your routine. In my opinion, a great way to stay in shape, especially if you don’t have a lot of time to spend hours at the gym.
